Up the mountain…
1) Crowding masses, thronging, sweating;
-Jesus turned and strode away.
Hearing God’s words had been easy.
Would they all call that a day?
2) Up a hillock, or a mountain,
-pausing not to count or call.
Who would stir and choose to follow;
risk a stumble, chance a fall?
3) “All are chosen, all invited”
Crowds in easy earshot, stayed
down below in comfort biding;
Those committed, up and prayed
