News Report: Jesus Heals the Lame Man
Reporter: I am here at the pool of Bethzatha in Jerusalem. Around me there are many people who are unwell, some are blind, many are lame
or paralysed. And here with me is a man who was, earlier today, one of these invalids and now claims to be completely cured.
Sir, tell us, how long have you been unwell.
Sick Man: I’ve been lain up here for thirtyeight years.
Reporter: And you have been completely unable to walk until today, is that right.
Sick Man: Yes, I was completely lame until today.
Reporter: So, tell us what happened.
Sick Man: Well, I was just lying there by the pool like I usually do and this Jesus man comes up to me and asks me
“Do you want to be made well?” And I thought, well that’s a silly question if ever I’ve heard one obviously I want to be made well.
Otherwise why would I be here, by the healing waters. But I told him that I didn’t have anyone to help me get into the pool.
I was hoping he might lend me a hand getting in, you know.
Reporter: But I believe he helped you more than that?
