Confession
As Christians we believe that however good we feel we’ve been we never can have a week, maybe even a day, without doing or thinking, or saying something that we know God wouldn’t really like - being thoughtless, or selfish, or unkind, or getting cross for the wrong reason, or using bad language, or …. (give people space to think and add their own ideas)
Jesus, you said that the most important thing in our lives, the most important thing in the world, is to Love the God with all our heart - our feelings and emotions; with all our mind - all the things we think about, what we focus on day by day; with all our soul - our deepest response and awareness of you; and with all our strength - all we do with our bodies, our activities and physical gifts.
So:
For failing to love you with all our heart
We are sorry Lord

For failing to love you with all our mind
We are sorry Lord

Jesus, you also said that the second most important thing to do is to Love our neighbour - everyone else we meet or are aware of - as much as we love ourselves.
