Description

Sketch - KEEPING TRACK OF TIME John Hill

Setting:
Two clocks -Tick Tock and Seconds discuss and reflect upon time.

No costume required, but you could make two circular shapes out of plain card with a picture or drawing of a clock face on each one, with the addition of two eyes a nose and a mouth on each face. Then mount them on to two separate thin sticks, so that they can be held by each actor whilst they perform the sketch – It adds an extra effect.

TICK TOCK Tick tock, tick tock ,tick tock, how are you keeping seconds. How are you ticking?

SECONDS Not too bad,I find I have a lot of time to spare these days.

TICK TOCK Really

SECONDS Yes since they moved me from the busy office,to the rest room.My busiest period is during the lunch break, then after that hour, time seems to drag.I have trouble keeping going I get a bit bored.

TICK TOCK Sorry to hear that, you’ve got too much time on your hands, that you don’t know what to do with it.

SECONDS And another thing sometimes they forget to renew my battery,I start to get run down, and have great difficulty keeping the correct time.

TICK TOCK What you need is somebody to wind-you up.
