Meditation – 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time Yr C
Don’t get discouraged
Luke 18: 1-8

It was one of those rare occasions without crowds; We were on our way to Jerusalem, gradually, And Jesus turned to us and started to tell us a story About a godless, contemptuous judge Who gave in to a nagging widow, Just to get some peace! Jesus said the judge, who feared neither God nor man, had to give in to this widow Otherwise she would wear him out with her constant requests! We laughed, and Jesus laughed too. Then after a few more minutes walking in silence, Jesus turned back to us and he said – more seriously – Learn a lesson from that evil Judge; even he did what was right and just, So don’t you think your Father in heaven will deal justly With those who plead with him, day and night?...
