Description
Poem: Expectation
That first faint fluttering of movement
seems so insignificant
that it can be dismissed as imagination.
As the days pass and the growing continues
and the stirring becomes stronger,
then the realisation dawns
that new life is beginning to make its presence felt.
Until one day there is a kick that announces activity
and an impatience to be a part of a whole new world.
And at that point
the urge to share the celebration
is the most natural thing in the world,
especially if the sharing is with someone
who also will have that joy to come very soon.
