Did you ever get lost when you were a child? I remember once, when I was a toddler, becoming separated from my mum at a small supermarket. The shop was only small, but because I was small too, it felt huge. Somehow I had turned one way and my mother another. A couple of steps by both of us, and I was alone.
We searched for each other, but in the opposite direction. In just a few moments we were in totally different places, with each unable to find the other. I must have looked a sorry sight; wandering, forlorn and alone. Fortunately, one of the shop assistants found me, and after a few minutes I was back with my mum, and both of us were very relieved.
The feeling of being alone that comes with being lost can be overwhelming. We feel helpless and unable to cope. It’s a feeling we often get when facing new situations. This weekend saw many new ordinands join the church. New leaders, about to be thrown in at the deep end and begin taking meetings, service and pastoral roles. If only there was a website that provided resources to help, then that would be one less thing to worry about.
With over 43,000 resource The Seed is ideal for any new ordinands to find the resources and help they need. With the range of subscriptions available, from our 3 free per week to our rich-media power user 100 credit a week, we can supply the right amount of resources at the right price.
If you know any new ordinands, or experienced ordinands, or anyone involved in any form of church leadrship, then forward this link to them. The Seed exists so that those involved in leading worship have access to the best, most creative and inspiring resources available. We don’t want any ordinands, or leaders, to feel alone and lost today, or any other day.
