It was Oscar Wilde, who said 'I can resist everything except temptation. That's true for most of us. Usually the greater the prohibition the greater the temptation - 'go on; see if you can get away with it!' You don't know the feeling? Honest? Well many people do. And Jesus did. Matthew and Luke give us the detail of Jesus' temptation in the wilderness but I have a feeling that that wasn't Jesus only time of temptation: 'Take this cup away from me yet?' that moment of uncertainty in the Garden of Gethsemane. And perhaps there were others times too. I find that helpful.
