‘Days of the Baptist’
Those were the days of The Baptist,
Preparing the road for the Lord.
And those were the days of the Lord’s Apostles:
A message that can’t be ignored.
This gospel has not lost its power,
Through two thousand years it has roared,
And we are the voice in the world now crying:
Prepare ye the way of the Lord.
Behold he comes! Jesus is the King!
Hail the Prince of Peace! Praise to God we sing.
Lift your voice, for the world will be renewed:
The God of love will bring his Kingdom in.
These are the days of the Father –
God’s people respond to His call;
And these are the days of our Savour, Jesus –
Love being poured out for all;
And these are the days of the Spirit –
God lives with His people on earth;
And these are the days of the resurrection,
And these are the days of new birth.
Behold he comes! Jesus is the King!
Hail the Prince of Peace! Praise to God we sing.
Lift your voice, for the world will be renewed:
The God of love will bring his Kingdom in.
