When the Making was beginning,
like the making of today,
God was freely, freely, freely
gifting, getting, loving play.

Free in sending, free in going;
free from twisted hierarchy;
bound in flesh, a human lifetime
deepest solidarity!

Shattered on the Cross, the Family:
tortured by the folk they love;
free acceptance, costly breaking
pains the Voice, the Flesh, the Dove.
