“Change or trouble…” – a trader reflects on hearing John the Baptism
[Luke 3: 1 – 6]

I know this river, the River Jordan, like the back of my hand. I ought to – I’ve been trading up and down for
years. Ever since I was a boy, I’ve been travelling its length between the Sea of Galilee in the north to
where it flows out into the Dead Sea in the south. Over 150 miles of the river. I first started the journeys
with my grand-father and father; now I take my son along with me...
