A version of The Beatitudes
Seeing that there were crowds of people, the Master climbed up a mountain (just like Moses and Elijah had done long before).
When he sat down on the grass, his First Team came and sat around him and he gave them some training.
This is what he said:
“Congratulations to the destitute beggars!
God’s reign of justice and peace is for them.
Congratulations to those who cry out in pangs of grief!
God himself will come alongside and strengthen them.
Congratulations to those whose great strength is under great control.
They will inherit the land.
Congratulations to those whose deepest craving is for right relationships.
God will satisfy them completely.
