Matthew 2. 13-23
Meditation: Flight into Egypt
Another journey!
And we’re going in the wrong direction again.
What is God trying to do to me? To us?
Why can’t we just go home and live in peace?
I know Jesus is a sturdy child – and a happy one too,
but the road to Egypt is very long and rough for someone so small –
although he’s beginning to be too big for me to carry him for a long time.
It’s just as well that Joseph is strong and we now have yet another donkey...
