Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile
Gracious God
you send your people on journeys
calling us out from the comfortable and familiar to strange and challenging places.
When your people Israel were exiled in Babylon, your prophet urged them to pray for the welfare of the city to which you had sent them.
We pray today for those who feel exiled,
cut off from familiar places and the things of home...
