Intercessions for parents and children
(Can be used on Mothering Sunday)

Children are:
Small lives but big responsibilities;
Small bodies but big demands.

Let us pray for all homes, that they may be:
• Places of love and support;
• Places of acceptance and security;
• Places of forgiveness and tolerance;
• Places where both adults and children can grow, develop and be themselves.

Let us pray for all parents, that they may:
• Create loving, caring homes;
• Treat their children as persons;
• Accept that there are no perfect children or perfect parents;
• Not be overwhelmed with guilt;
• Have joy in their children.
