For most of us, there comes a time when we cannot look after our loved ones appropriately or safely on our own at home. For some of us, our own health breaks down, and help is crucial. Bringing in a paid carer or having our loved ones go into residential care can be very painful. It feels like disloyalty. Admitting defeat. Failure. There’s guilt and lots of other negative feelings.
