*This can be read whilst people eat dates and date biscuits and look at pictures of Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
If possible have palm crosses and real palms around the pictures.*
She silently gazed as the people passed by; all so very busy with their everyday lives.
She watched intently at the young mother chasing her lively toddler and shook her leaves with joy as the tiny child giggled and laughed.
As the sun grew stronger she listened to the conversations of those who sheltered under her slender branches.
Such intricate tales that they told.
For over 50 years she had watched the children who played around her grow into adults then bring their own children to play.
For the first few years she had been left alone but then came her rich sweet fruits.
And with the fruits came bare feet climbing her scaly thin trunk, up up until hands outstretched would pull at fruits, which hung down
tantalizingly.
She felt proud of her fruit and the joy they brought to those who came.
