Reflection/Poem - Luke 24:13-35
Emmaus
After a bereavement, as well as grief, there is sometimes a sense of detachment,
remoteness,
unreality.
We had lost him.
Everything had changed - and we couldn’t accept that change.
We were in limbo, unwilling to move on.
And so we had spent the day doing the usual things,
even though nothing seemed to matter any more.
But as we walked home in the quiet of the evening we began,
step by step,
to share our bewilderment and pain.
