Description
Poem: Wealthy, or wise?
A wealthy man who wanted more
than all the goods he had in store:
a wealthy man whose healthy food
could only make his life so good:
a wealthy man, obeying laws,
and yet his life-style gave him cause
to seek an answer, most profound,
on how eternal life is found.
A wandering teacher, moving south,
and clearly living hand to mouth:
a man who favoured common folk
and often liked to laugh and joke:
a man who seemed so very good,
this was the man who surely would
provide an answer to his quest
and get the problem off his chest.
