Short Extract;
Hello. Today I want to talk to you about remembering.
Sometimes I forget what I did yesterday, let alone what I did over 6o years ago.
It is good to remember things because it helps you not to make the same mistake again.
For instance when I was a little boy I remember going near the fire in our front room and throwing a piece of paper on it.
The problem was the paper didn't get all the way into the fire, it sort of caught fire and then popped out onto the hearth.
It was a good job my parents were there otherwise the house could have burnt down.
After that time I always remembered not to play with fire or throw things into it.
I also remember my time when I was in the first world war fighting against the Germans in the fields of France.
They are not very good memories that I have but it is important that we never forget.
You see I had a friend called Jim and we always did things together apart from one eventful day.
I remember this particular day like it was yesterday.
