Description
Prayer: Sibling rivalry
Fourth Sunday after Pentecost
Genesis 25: 18-34
Sibling rivalry can destroy families, schools, communities and even nations. Although
we have an idealised image of family life being peace and harmony and sisters and
brothers getting along together and fighting each other’s corners, we know that this is
not the reality that many families face. Sibling rivalry can go on for years after
children have become adults and it can sour and twist relationships and leave lasting
scars in individual lives.
So today we pray for all those for whom family life is far from perfect...
10 July 2011, Fourth Sunday after Pentecost, Genesis 25; 18-34, prayer,
siblings, brothers, family, problems, neglect, troubles, parents, homes, broken
relationships
