Haricot was quite a fit bean, otherwise, he would never have escaped from the jungle of weeds that he fell into ‘the time of the sowing’. Haricot needed time to rest and recover, and so he arrived in Bean Town several days after Adzuki. The first thing he did, was visit Old Bean, the Mayor of Bean Town. After all Haricot thought, “An important Bean like me, might be Mayor one day so I’ll just go and introduce myself.”Of course there is more to being Mayor than thinking you are important. Old Bean, had mysteriously survived from the last time the farmer had sown his fields, and it was said that she was the wisest bean in Bean Town. One of her jobs, was selecting building plots for new arrivals and collecting rent for the land. Haricot strode into Old Beans office, and demanded to see a map of Bean Town...
