THE ONE THING NEEDFUL Luke 10: 38-42
1 When Jesus came to Bethany,
good Martha’s much activity
called forth a reprimand;
but grateful Mary took a seat
most lowly at the Master’s feet,
his word to understand.
2 May we discern and do his will,
when active or when sitting still,
and on him fix our heart:
the one thing needful make our choice
and in his love for us rejoice —
be ours this better part.
