A Harvest Hymn that reflects the call for a fair and just distribution of Creation's resources.
Fruit from the trees and veg. from the fields –
Pears, plums and apples, carrots and peas;
Everything grows from God-given seed,
Food for our living, all that we need.
So give thanks to God for Promise held true,
Give thanks to God for Harvest that’s new,
Give thanks to God – the cupboard’s not bare,
Remember the people still needing their share.
Rain from the skies makes rivers and lakes,
Water for drinking for everyone’s sake.
Sun’s light and warmth we see and we feel;
Breeze from the four winds: the air that we breathe.
So give thanks to God…
