We want to be really brave
When life gets scary.
When the nasties threaten us
Tall, fat or hairy!
We think of Jesus then
He’ll always be our friend
He’ll help us to the end
To be courageous.
Those who try to frighten us
With creepy fables –
Horrid monsters, cruel thieves,
Ghosts under tables.
They never will succeed
‘Cos Jesus knows our need
Because of Him we’re freed
To be courageous.
