Deerhurst church in Gloucestershire is one of the finest Saxon churches remaining in the country. This Anglo-Saxon priory church of St. Mary dates back to around 800 AD and includes a 9th century font and a 10th century angel. The adjacent farmhouse was originally part of the surrounding monastic buildings, probably the monks' dormitory.
