Description
A strange kind of king - poem
Third Sunday after Pentecost
Zechariah 9: 9-12
When that king comes
riding on a donkey,
will he be noticed
among the finery
and glitz and glamour
of a ceremonial
state occasion?
When, through God’s peacemakers,
arms and armoury
are decommissioned
and weapons of mass destruction
are immobilised,
will anyone believe...

King, God, donkey, peace, hope, equality, war, poverty, neglect
