ADVENT GOD: A PRAYER OF APPROACH
Advent God,
in all our preparations,
the busy to-do lists and the frenzied activity,
wait with us for that moment of pausing
in anticipation of your presence.
Waiting God, we prepare for your coming.
Advent God,
when we are lethargic and indifferent,
passively waiting for you to act,
wake us out of our sleepiness,
and alert us to your call for justice.
