Description
An Order for Communion
based on themes of
Covenant and Creation
Offertory Prayer
Blessed be God who gives bread.
May it satisfy our hunger.
Blessed be God who gives wine.
May it satisfy our thirst.
Blessed be God who gives all that is good.
May we be filled with gratitude.
Communion Hymn
Thanksgiving
God fills this place.
The Spirit moves among us.
Let us hold out our gratitude.
We will hold out our empty hands
and God will fill them:
the giver of all that is good,
the fullness of all that flourishes,
and the beginning and end of everything.
Father of Jesus, Father of all,
you made us out of nothing,
shape from chaos,
mind from emptiness,
spirit from your breath;
and you made a world for us to inhabit,
to thrill our soul and fill us with wonder.
You are our God. You are our all.
You called your people out of nakedness and shame,
