Dramatic reading: What do you love?
(Two - or more - voices read the first six paragraphs alternately. The last paragraph is read by a third reader)
I love chocolate. I could eat it for ever – a whole box at a time, when it’s available. But if I did eat as much as I want I’d be as fat as a barrel and I’d probably get spots and all my teeth would rot - and I’d be spending a lot of money at the same time.
I love football, particularly (favourite team). I try to get to every match I can – wind, rain, snow or ice. But it costs me a small fortune and there are days when it would be more comfortable sitting at home watching it on TV. But when I do that I eat and drink too much, so that doesn’t do me any good either.
I love shopping. In the shops, on the internet, down the market, anywhere really! It’s the joy of spending money and the thrill of getting something new and being able to pay with a card and not worry about having the cash with me.
