First I want to thank my daughters, Holly and Jeanette, for prodding me into reading Twilight. Well, for prodding me into doing lots of things, including white-water rafting, eating sushi, and in general, having more fun. I’m also grateful to Randy for being so patient and forgiving as I hole up to read, think, and write. My research assistants, Mireya Martinez and Shellie Ross, have been angels, helping with all kinds of little details along the way.
