Prayer: God of our future
God of our future,
forgive us
that we are so often affected
by the attitude
of dissatisfaction and gloominess
that we feel around us today.
With so many conflicts
and natural disasters,
so much power-seeking
and selfishness,
so many cruel regimes
and so many helpless people
made homeless and destitute,
it is so difficult to feel hopeful
and strong in our faith.
