Gracious God, forgive us -
when we see the mercy granted to others as a threat to our integrity:
when we believe we are in the right and refuse to accept your judgement on our
behaviour:
when we are not prepared to accept that our ways are not your ways:
when we allow our opinions to outweigh your love and grace.
Teach us
that your generous love is offered to all who are willing to turn to you when they know
they need forgiveness...
