Harvest Thoughts
We don’t plough fields and we don’t scatter good seed on the land.
We’ve shaken off the notion that it’s fed by God’s almighty hand.
We get our stuff from Aldi, from Sainsbury and the like.
We don’t give a second thought to what the maker may be like.
Yet where does the crunch come from, the texture and the taste?
I’ve seen soil and its all brown; its full of nature’s waste!
It isn’t crisp, it isn’t green, there is no yellow or red.
How does stuff that’s so fresh and alive grow up from stuff that’s dead?
