"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it." John 1:5
It is this sentence, this reality, which keeps me going. It sums up what I know to be true at the very deepest level of my being. And, crucially, it sustains me in hope in a world which seems so often to be unfair, cruel and capricious to so many. The light of love shines; and the darkness of evil, wickedness, violence and suffering will never, ever, put it out.
