Keep It Simple
Psalm 50
It’s kind of complicated being a church. It was brought home to me yesterday when for the first time I took the bunch of church keys that I recently inherited to go for a meeting with a couple whose baby we are going to baptize. There are fifteen keys. I never found the right one to open the front gate, but we were able to use the back gate, so we were OK. At first I thought I couldn’t find the right key to the church building, but the lock was simply stiff. Only by accident did I then discover how to turn on the lights and the fountain in the grounds. Then there is the copier, and the Web site, and the mail (who would have thought that a church got so much junk mail?). . . .
