Poem: Stumbling blocks
Who would ever dream
of tripping up a child
deliberately?
Unless it was another child,
for mischief’s sake.
Or bullying.

But grown-ups know better
than to do that,
recognising danger
and fearing injury,
or harm.

Unless, of course,
the child becomes
an inconvenient nuisance
