Saviour God, when you walked this earth
as carpenter, teacher, friend and Messiah
you already knew that one day
we would look for a warrior
and find only a lamb
search for a conqueror
and discover a King of Peace
Yet you allowed us to nail you
to a cruel cross
that we might finally begin to understand
A love that will not let us go
A love that knows no bounds
