Reflection/Meditation: Determination


You decide to set out on a very important journey. Your destination is a great city, but it is many miles away and you’ll need accommodation along the way. Friends offer to go ahead and set it up for you. They return, absolutely furious, because they were refused a room when the people heard which city you were heading for. Old feuds die hard and they didn’t like the place that you were determined to reach. Your friends want to bring down fire on their heads for their attitude. How dare they refuse? What are you going to do about it?
“Oh, forget it! You should know better than to react like that. You’re just making yourselves as bad as them and prolonging the conflict. We’ll just go another way.”
