Patience | Fruit of the Spirit

Modern translations of the Bible often use the word 'endurance' or 'perseverance' rather than 'patience'. While the King James Bible says that 'tribulation worketh patience' (Romans 5:3), the same verse says that 'suffering helps us to endure' in the Contemporary English Version. Patience is a fruit of God's Spirit that grows with his help. Patience is developed by following the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
