Description
The Loving Cup is a personal meditation on Rublev's icon of "The Trinity" It was first recorded in my prayer journal many years ago when I meditated on the icon in my own home. I share it in the hope that it may encourage others to meditate on icons and other works of inspirational art work. Sincerely Audrey Hogan
The space between the three figures of the trinity is in the shape of a cup. It became a reality to me that I was being held as it where within that loving cup of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Looking up from within the cup it felt as if somehow, Father Son and Holy Spirit gazed inwardly upon me just as if I was being held within them. As if one could gaze inward upon ones own heart at the beloved one held there. So it is with the blessed Trinity together they compile a loving cup. .......
