‘Father Christmas’ (or ‘Santa Claus’, or just ‘Santa’) is a mainstay of many a Christmas party – Sunday School (or Junior Church) children, Uniformed Organisation members, Parent & Toddler Groups, even Luncheon Clubs for the elderly all eagerly await the sound of Jingle Bells and the familiar ‘Ho-ho-ho!’ of the white-bearded, red-suited present- profferor.
