It's easy to say sorry if we didn’t really think it was our fault but recognise that the right words will turn down the heat.
It's even easier to offer expressions of regret for unintended consequences we think our beyond our control.
It's much easier to apologise if we know the other people involved will do the same.
Who minds acting contrite today, if we intend to carry on doing exactly the same tomorrow?
