This is the reverse side of a traditional style Celtic cross painted in 1996 by Pete Brazier. Acrylics, ink and yacht varnish on paper. This interesting effect is caused by yacht varnish, blocked in places by the acrylic paint, bleeding through to the back of the paper creating a translucent vellum like texture.
