Lord, in the midst of all the preparation for Christmas let me concentrate on the important things:
the people I love. May I not get frustrated or angry with them, nor take them for granted.
Forgive me, when I put my own needs before theirs.
those I don’t know, but who are in need. May I not be selfish with my time and my resources.
Forgive me, when I put my own needs before theirs.
the wider world. May I not forget the places in the world where there is little joy, but rather violence and conflict, poverty and hunger. Forgive me, when I put my own needs before theirs.
