Each of the following sketches (scenes) can be used to form the basis for a complete act of worship or used as individual scenes on separate occasions. Each scene will require a narrator to read the linking text as well as the characters in the scene itself.

A Camel through the Eye of a Needle (Short Sketch)

As the rich man turned and left, his head hanging and his feet dragging in the dirt, Jesus turned to his disciples.

Jesus: It is so hard for those who have plenty to get into heaven.

James: But that was a hard thing you asked of him.

Jesus: It’s a hard thing for anyone – but harder for those who have a lot to lose. Have you ever ridden a camel through the eye of a needle?

James: No – of course not!
