About the author

David Heywood is Director of Pastoral Studies at Ripon College Cuddesdon. He has served in parish ministry in Gloucestershire, south London and the Potteries. Before ordination, he trained as a teacher and taught for three years in Luton, Bedfordshire. He has a doctorate in theology and education from Durham University, in which his main focus was on the way Christians learn and grow in their faith. He is the author of Reimagining Ministry, published in 2011. David is married to Meg, who is chaplain to the Oxford Ministry Course, and they have four adult children.
