Meditation on John 1: 29-42

Gaze on Jesus walking quietly by. We don’t
know where he’s been, or where he’s going
to. It’s almost as if he’s ‘minding his own
business’. But John, who so recently baptized
him, spots him immediately. Did Jesus hear
him call ‘Here is the Lamb of God!’? Does he
smile at such recognition, or frown, thinking it i
s too soon for such amazing avowals? The
two disciples of John follow behind Jesus and
