Meditation on John 2: 1-11
Gaze on the wintry scene around you.
The hills are bare and cold, the trees
stark against the pale light. But although
it is the end of January, snowdrops are
peering out under the trees, and the
startling yellow of winter jasmine is
climbing round the door. Prunus blossom
bursts out before its leaf, and viburnum’s
pink and white brightens up its dark
branches. Japonica buds, like pursed
kisses, are strung along the hedge already...
