Introduction
What do these stories have in common – The Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Three Billy Goats Gruff? Three is the special number. The Bible includes many stories which include significant or special numbers. Today you are going to hear a story from the Bible which has three special numbers – two, five and twelve.

Drama
It was spring time and the ground was green with new grass, the sky was blue and the water on the lake rippled with the gentle breeze. Jesus looked around at the crowd who had been following him all day. He was like a famous film star, a celebrity. If camera’s had been invented, he would have been blinded by the flashes as the photographs were taken. “Just look this way for a picture – thanks.”

Jesus looked around and said, “These people look as hungry as I feel. Where can we get something to eat?”

Now if it was today, he would know where the nearest supermarket or corner shop would be or the people could phone for a takeaway. “Who ordered the pizza with 6 different toppings?”

But this happened two thousand years ago and there were no shops, or takeaways or fish and chip shops...
